Everything on this site is here to describe the kind of work we do and to make it easy to get in touch. We keep it accurate, but nothing on these pages is a quote, a contract, or a promise that we can take on a particular job.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, and we schedule the visit at a time that works for you.
We don't price work from photographs. Photos help us show up prepared, but seeing the job in person is the only way to plan it properly and give you a number that holds. Any figure discussed before we've seen the work is a rough conversation, not an estimate.
You get the price in writing before any work starts. If something genuinely unexpected turns up once we're into the job—the kind of thing nobody could see from the outside—we stop, tell you, and agree what happens next before carrying on. The price doesn't change on you halfway through without a conversation first.
Our workmanship guarantee
We guarantee the work we did, and anything it directly affects, for a full five years from completion. If something isn't right, we come back and make it right, at no charge.
Sensibly, the guarantee covers our workmanship. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear, damage from weather or accidents, work later altered by someone else, or pre-existing problems elsewhere in the building that we weren't hired to address. Manufactured items we install—appliances, fixtures, materials—carry whatever warranty their maker provides, and we'll help you make a claim on it.
Scheduling
We show up on the day we said. If something makes that impossible—weather, illness, a job ahead of yours running long—we call you, we don't just not turn up. We'd ask the same courtesy in return.
Insurance
J & Js Handyman Solutions, LLC is fully insured. We're happy to provide proof of coverage on request.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in the written estimate for your job, and we agree them with you before work begins.
Limits
Our responsibility for any job is limited to the work we performed and what we were paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for injury caused by negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
