What we do
Three kinds of work, with a fair amount of overlap between them. If what you need isn't on this page, ask anyway—we probably do that too.
Repairs
The things that broke, and the things that never worked right to begin with. Most repair calls we get are about something small that's been quietly getting worse. Older houses around here move, the humidity gets into everything, and a door that sticks in July is telling you something.
- Drywall installation, replacement, repair and patching, including water damage and settling cracks
- Doors and windows that stick, let the weather in, or won't latch
- Wood rot and moisture damage on trim and decking
- Flooring repair—boards, laminate, subfloor
- Light fixtures and ceiling fans
- General repairs: things that came loose, fell off, or stopped working
If it's easier to show us than describe it, send a photo along with your message. It helps us come prepared, though we'll still want to see it in person before quoting anything.
Renovations & Remodeling
The room you've been meaning to do something about, the whole house, or the one that isn't there yet. Often it's a kitchen or a bathroom, usually one you've disliked for longer than you'd admit. There's no rush on our end and no pressure to decide everything at once—most people start by telling us what bothers them about the space, and we'll start from there.
- Whole home renovations
- Room additions
- Kitchen updates—counters, cabinets, backsplash, lighting, flooring
- Bathroom updates—vanities, fixtures, and the rest
- Framing and finishing, including bonus rooms and unfinished spaces
- Flooring removal, replacement, and new installation
- Interior and exterior painting
- Trim, molding, built-ins, and finish carpentry
If you want to show us what you're living with, photos are welcome. Either way, this kind of work starts with a conversation and a walk-through.
Maintenance
The list that never seems to get any shorter. Some people hand us a written list they've been adding to for a year. That's a good day for us—a lot of small jobs in one trip is efficient for everybody, and it usually costs less than having someone out four separate times.
- Honey-do lists, however long they've gotten
- Power washing decks, siding, walkways, and fencing
- Deck and porch upkeep, including sealing and board replacement
- Seasonal work before and after winter
- Mounting, hanging, and assembling
Write the list down, however messy it is, and send it over. We'll tell you what we can knock out in a visit.
